Young writers recognised for their stories

The judging of the Key Stage Three short story writing competition, run by the English Department, has taken place. Last term, students were encouraged to develop atmospheric settings for stories written in the horror genre.

Today, Daniel O'Connor, Eilah Hill, Elara Tatli, Lucy McGrady and Annie Murray were rewarded for their creative talents and soon will be enjoying some sweet treats at Nugelato. According to the judges, their writing was 'subtle, clever and beautifully crafted'.

If you want to read the stories three of them are published in the most recent Shimna Scoop.
