“Our Under 14 team had their first competitive outing of the season, playing in the qualifying round of the Ulster Bowl.
In their first game the boys showed great determination, battling back from 0-12, with two tries from Darragh Russell and an impressive kicking display from Josh McKibben helping Shimna secure a 14-12 win. In their second game the boys ran out comfortable winners with three tries from Darragh Russell and one try from Nathan Kelly. For many of the boys, this was their first experience of full pitch 15-a-side rugby.
The boys went from strength to strength with each passing game. It was a great display.”
The boys have now qualified for the finals after half term.
