Well done to our emerging youth squad for their excellent performance in the South Down Rugby Development Blitz. They finished third, winning three and drawing one of their five games. Captain Brady Donaghy led from the front with his strong runs, ably assisted by top try scorer Leo Jordan was our top try scorer. Kian Ruddy was the standout player in defence, supported by an excellent performance at scrum half by Max Fitzpatrick.
Mr Hanna writes: “Overall, the boys were excellent throughout the tournament, getting better with each game. I look forward to working with this group next year, building on the experience of yesterday. Special mention to Ballynahinch Rugby Club for hosting such a competitive blitz.”
