Tasty treats as College celebrates European Bake-Off 2024

Ms Susay writes:

A huge thank you to all our students who baked amazing cakes and buns with a European theme to celebrate European Week of Languages and raise money for charity.  Amongst the many bakes there was a replica in cake form of the Colosseum, a Swiss Pingu cake, a Lithuanian multi-layered cake, a Spanish lemon cake, brownies and lots of beautifully decorated cupcakes and cakes depicting the European continent.

It was extremely hard to pick winners as we felt every entry was fantastic! After much discussion the winners were:

  • Year 8: Cruz (8D), Bella (8D) and Orlaith (8B)

  • Year 9: Evie (9D), Felicity (9D) and Ryan (9D)

  • Year 11: Andreja

  • Staff winner: Zelda, for her yummy pavlova

Our students enjoyed eating the bakes over break time and lunch.

A big thank you to Megan Groves, Olivia Susay-Quinn and Ana McKee in year 13 who manned the stall throughout break and lunchtimes. Proceeds from the cake sale will go to local charities supporting refugees and asylum seekers in Northern Ireland.
