Students raise funds for Children’s Heartbeat Trust

Congratulations to our Student Leaders in Year 14 for organising and running yesterday’s programme of sporting activities in aid of the Children’s Heartbeat Trust, a charity which supports children and young people with heart disease - https://www.childrensheartbeattrust.org/. It was a great day, with the Assembly Hall transformed into a bench-ball arena in which Key Stage 3 form classes battled it out for top honours.

Sports Leader Eabha Hallissey writes: “Thank you very much to everyone for contributing to the day, and to Gareth for encouraging us run it. The students had plenty of fun. It was good to see so much competitive spirit from all the classes and the high levels of participation.”

A total of £691.98 has been raised so far. Please contact the Finance Office if you would like to contribute to this good cause.

Thank you to the Eabha, Eoin McCullough, Maria Cassidy and Orla Gibney for their sterling efforts, supported by other members of the team. Well done as well to Lexie Stockman in Year 9, who took it upon herself to carry out a litter pick around the Donard Fold as part of the day’s activities.
