Shimna students get an eyeful of Paris

Forty of our Year 10 and 11 students have spent the best part of this week in Paris, seeing the sights and brushing up on their French. Their itinerary has included visits to Sacre-Coeur and Montmartre, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and the Stade de France ( ‘not a patch on Anfield’, someone commented ). The group has also had the opportunity to partake in café culture, with a significant increase in the sale of crepes reported in the French capital over the last 72 hours. Today has been spent enjoying that most quintessentially French experience, Disneyland Paris.

Trip leader Ms Hardy commends the students for the way they have embraced the different activities and for their excellent behaviour: “Year 10 and 11 are having a great time à Paris! So far, highlights have included shopping on the Champs Elysées, and visiting La Tour Eiffel, Montmartre and le Sacré Coeur. Today, Disneyland was bathed in glorious sunshine and tomorrow we will finish with a cruise on the Seine on the bateaux parisiens. Tout le monde s'amuse bien!”

Super! Bon retour à tous!
