With 80% of year 12 students awarded five or more GCSEs at A*-C, Shimna Integrated College celebrates the release of today’s results.
As a non-selective college, many subject department’s statistics are comparable to the best selective schools in the country with Further Mathematics achieving a 100% A*-C pass rate, English Literature an impressive 99% A*-C grade and Digital Technology at 98%.
“We are delighted with these results,” says Steve Pagan, Principal of Shimna Integrated College. “Our students have shown tremendous resilience, tenacity and perseverance in the face of two years of Covid disruption and uncertainty.”

Special guest Michael Crossan, Examinations Manager at CCEA joined in with Shimna’s celebrations today. “It was a joy to be at a school with such a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and to be able to join in on the celebrations with everyone. From talking to the students and parents it was very clear that they hold the school in great regard and genuinely enjoy their time there.”
