Senior girls netball pipped at the post as Shimna legend plays last game

On Monday, the senior girls narrowly missed out on qualifying for the Senior Bowl semi-final, losing out 19 goals to 18 to Cookstown High School. Anna O’Flaherty and Hope Sherlock were a strong attacking duo and Katelyn McClelland won many of the passes from Annie Elliott at centre, while Ellen Watson and Eabha Hallissey were resolute in defence. The team will return stronger next year.

Sadly, it was Annie Elliott's last game for the College. As always, Annie led by example and had an impressive match. She has been an inspiration over the years. We will miss Annie’s dedication and talent but she is undoubtedly destined for higher things in the sport.
