Prince’s Trust students help out at the Fold

Well done to the fourteen Year 11 students and Mr McCreanor from our Prince’s Trust group who helped out at the Fold last Friday. The students worked in groups under instruction our resident gardener Morris, who taught them about removing weeds and planting new flowers. With the autumn leaves falling and the tidying of flower beds now timely, the students helped to leave the garden and its surroundings in a better state.

Andrea Harrison, scheme coordinator at the Fold, wrote, “we just wanted to say a massive thank you from everyone in Donard Fold to Micheal, and his team of students and teachers for coming to volunteer in our gardens yesterday. This gave us all such a boost and we look forward to working together in the future. We had three of our residents out helping them at the time and they were singing all their praises.”
