Well done to Eve McNamara (Year9), Parisa Susay-Quinn (Year9), and Sophie Mayers (Year 8) who compete for Newcastle Athletics Club. The girls were placed second in the 4x 100m relay at the Ulster Championships on Saturday and have now qualified for the All-Irelands in July. The fourth team member was St. Malachy’s student Maisie McVeigh.
Eve McNamara also came first in the 75m hurdles and second in long jump while Aoife Grant (Year 8) was placed fourth in the U14 hammer.
A great achievement all round.
