We are marking Children's Mental Health Week this coming week at Shimna. We are number of activities to promote positive thinking.
This year’s theme is "my voice matters". Students have been busy preparing this week's assemblies and the setting up of an ‘appreciation station’ outside the Canteen on Friday to share positive and inspirational wellbeing messages.
Tomorrow, students in Year 8 to 11 will attend an afternoon concert featuring former Shimna student Conor Marcus and his band "Absnt Minds". Their show promotes positive messages about wellbeing and staying safe online via song. It promises to be an impactful and enjoyable gig.
All students are invited to take part in our "Express Yourself & Bake a Difference" competition. Entries should be delivered to the Assembly Hall at the start of school on Thursday.
