The first Gordon Wilson Lecture will take place in the Assembly Hall on Wednesday 29 November at 7.00 pm. Students, parents and carers, staff and members of the wider Shimna community are very welcome to attend this special event.

Our speaker for the inaugural lecture is Martin Tierney. His talk, ‘From Fear to Hope: the Kindness of Strangers’, is an incredible and uplifting story. Martin is the Director of Seating Matters.
Gordon Wilson was guest of honour on Friday 5th August 1994. when construction of the current school started on the Lawnfield site thirty years ago. We thank his family for agreeing to our request to set up a memorial lecture in his name.
