GCSE PE students aim high

Year 11 and 12 GCSE P.E. students participated in an overnight hill-walking expedition where they practised their navigation and campcraft skills. On day one, the students walked from the College  to Meelmore Lodge, climbed up to The Saddle, followed the Brandy Pad to The Hare’s Gap. They then descended down Trassey Track to Meelmore Lodge. Day two included a forest walk following the Newcastle Way through Tollymore Park. All in all, a valuable two days, including the quest for marks towards the students’ GCSE practical component.
