Ms Clarke writes: “Yesterday we welcomed Uberheroes NI and Hope 4 Life NI to the College to work with our Year 8 students on issues around positive mental health, resilience and emotional wellbeing. Students learned very clear messages and preventative strategies to help them to understand how to deal with the issues of bereavement, cyber-bullying, and self-harm if they are faced with it, as well as how to help others deal with those issues. The sessions were fun and engaging with key messages delivered via Comic books. We encourage parents and carers of Year 8 to look at the comic book students brought home yesterday as this could start productive and valuable conversations at home.”
