College year finishes on a high with Activities Week

The College year ended on a high with our traditional Activities Week.

The fantastic programme, organised by Mr Dagen and Mr Milligan, provided students with a carousel of activities and positive experiences, which included a community service day, water safety sessions, a visit to ‘Let’s Go Hydro’ and a variety of sports and extra-curricular clubs, such as murder mystery, weaving, drama, music, D&D, Minecraft and rounders. Well done to all of our students for engaging so positively in the programme!

Thank you to LIONS Vice District Governor MarionMcGreevy and Secretary Frank McGreevy for inspiring“The Big Clean” - an environmental initiative to make our local area cleaner and greener.

Thanks also to Killian O’Kelly from the RNLI for his informative - and potentially life-saving - water safety sessions. Participating students received a training certificate at the end. Earlier today, a group of students even had the opportunity to visit our local RNLI boat house and meet the volunteer crew. Thank you to them for giving up their time.

Finally, thank you to Mr Dagen, Mr Milligan and the staff who took part over the course of the week.

The final ‘Shimna News’ for this academic year will follow tomorrow.
