Budding Botanists and Eager Ecologists

The Roots and Shoots group went on a nature walk and successfully identified species of birds, plants, and fungi in Donard Wood. Some students used their knowledge of bird calls to identify a robin singing in the trees and we spotted a grey wagtail enjoying an afternoon stroll. About 15 species of plants were also identified. It was thoroughly enjoyable for all and a great opportunity to learn more about our local wildlife.
