Mr Scott writes: Last Thursday and Friday, 35 of our Year 10 Bronze Joint Award students completed their expedition training. On Thursday. we had groups on a training walk in Donard Forest whilst back in school group had a sessions on expedition equipment, packing a rucksack and how to deal with emergency situations. On Friday, our six groups were ready to be released into the wild. Students individually lead different legs of our journey from school to Tollymore Youth Camping site. There they cooked up a feast on their stoves before navigating their way back to school.
The weather was perfect, as were the students, who had a ball. It got us all in the mood for our Bronze qualifying expedition which takes place on the 12th and 13th June! Well done everyone and thanks to all the staff involved over the two days!
