A message from the Principal

Now that things are beginning to wind down, we’d like to share the final cut of a project we’ve been working on - a timely re-imagining of a famous poem.

Thank you to the colleagues who took part. They represent the broad cross-section of staff who make Shimna such a special place: a mixture of learning support assistants, support staff and teachers. It’s a reminder that every day at the College is a team effort.

In a message to staff this evening, Principal Steve Pagan said: ”It’s important to remember the positive impact each of you have on our young people.”

“Working in education is a vocation. While it brings significant responsibilities, it also affords us the opportunity to prepare our students for the world outside and to give them the best start in life. This is what Shimna stands for - day in, day out.”

On that note, thank you to our parents, carers and members of the wider Shimna community for your ongoing support.

Have a great summer, everyone.
