CEIAG - Personal Guidance
We have an excellent partnership with the Careers Service (Dept. for the Economy) who have provided 1-1 Careers Interviews with all of our Year 12 students this year, as well as transition meetings with our Stage 3 SEN students.
Our Careers Adviser is Mary Knight, and she has been working with us for a number of years. Each guidance interview follows a similar structure, exploring students’ skills, qualities, existing qualifications and extra-curricular involvement. It then moves to widening the scope of ideas, pathways and options, creation of a plan and back-up plan, and next steps.

An individualised action plan is then sent to each student summarising the meeting and giving clear objectives to achieve in an agreed timeframe. Each student is responsible for acting upon the advice given and working through the action plan that has been created and tailored for their unique needs and circumstances.
